The volume contains selected, peer-reviewed papers from the Dialogue of Cultures - Culture of Dialogue: from Conflicting to Understanding (DCDD 2020), 23-25 April, 2020, Moscow City University, Moscow, Russia.

 

The objective of the conference was to address and foreground the issues of multidisciplinary nature, that were of intercultural communication, dialogue of cultures and ways to avoid conflicts within the framework of the modern academic paradigm. Another aspect to consider was the training patterns aimed at realizing the intercultural approach to education.

 

The DCCD Conference was consistently designed to meet the needs of academics involved in multidisciplinary research. Professional networking opportunities involved chances to engage across the education, linguistic, multicultural sectors. Social networking included opportunities to catch up with colleagues and old friends, and establish new friendships even though the conference was to be realized in the online format because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Held against the hostile and unpredictable environment of today’s the conference proved relevant in promoting academic findings and advancing research, in boosting the efficiency of studies and supporting the scholars.

 

The 150 full papers presented were subjected to a double-blind review process and selected from 130 submissions. Conference covered the range of issues as follows: The Fundamentals of cross-cultural dialogue, Communication patterns for the dialogue of cultures, Theory and practice of intercultural approach to studying, The issues of culture, ethics, law, polyvalence in society.
