The volume contains selected, peer-reviewed papers from the III (Post mass media in the modern informational society) "Journalistic text in a new technological environment: achievements and problems" (PMMIS 2019), 28-29 March 2019, Chelyabinsk State University, Russia.

The importance of the conference is due to changes in the field of professional journalism in connection with the development of social media, new forms of interpersonal and mass communication.

The 91 full papers presented were subjected to a double-blind review process and selected from 107 submissions. The conference program included the following topics: "General issues of journalism development in a new technological environment", "Social aspects of technological transformation of the industry", "Tools and techniques of online journalism", "Professional culture of a journalist before the challenges of amateurism", "New projects in the field of online journalism and their specificity", "Dissemination of journalistic content in the Internet", "Journalistic text in a new technological environment: linguistic approaches", "Fake news and post-truth effects in the aspect of technological possibilities of modern communication".
