About the Proceedings

The volume contains selected, peer-reviewed papers from the Psychology of subculture: Phenomenology and contemporary tendencies of development (PSYRGGU 2019), 22-23 April 2019, Russian State University for the Humanities, Russia.

The relevance of the problem raised at the conference was connected to the fact that modern subcultures have significantly transformed over the past 10 years. Today we are talking about the subculture as an intellectual association, which includes representatives of different disciplines and different sciences and arts. Subcultures at the present time can be presented as modern social networks connecting the cultural spaces of different sciences, arts, centuries. And the purpose of the conference was to discuss new spaces of subculture and their importance for responding to significant challenges of our time.

230 full papers were subjected to a double-blind review process and 107 full papers were accepted for publication. There were six thematic sections as follows:

  • Existential problems of culture and subculture
  • Identity and subculture: transformation in modern changing world
  • Clinical phycology in context of subculture
  • Child and youth subcultures
  • The changing context of modern education
  • Young scientists section
