An Approach To School Sports Clubs As Learning Organizations

Table 1:

Positive results – “good practices“ Number of units
The entire human resource is stable, it has no fluctuations, is 100% qualified, and consists of teachers – coaches who are concerned for the continuous professional training and scientific research in sports branch to which they belong to. 8 units out of 10
All sports branches for which sports training is achieved, obtain results at national and international competitions. 6 units out of 10
The progress of each sports student training is highlighted by lecture notes, in teachers – coaches own catalogues. 6 units out of 10
The external communication with beneficiaries and external partners is carried out electronic or traditionally (face to face), with effects on the selection process; the number of legitimate athletes registered a 10% increase in school sports clubs using the Internet, compared to those who promote their educational offer exclusively by traditional means. 3 units out of 10, respectively 7 units out of 10
All groups of sports students carry out activities in semi-Olympic training facilities, corresponding to each sporting sector (stadium, nautical base, force room etc.), all conditions about safety and sanogenesis being ensured. 2 units out of 10
All teachers – coaches use video audio resources in sports training activities. 1 unit out of 10
The result rate (by reporting the number of prizes/medals in competitions at national and international level to the total number of eligible athletes) is 1.06 (that means, on average, each sports student has achieved at least one result at national/international level). 1 unit out of 10
There is an annual increase in financial allocations (in line with the results obtained), but also by finding other sources (sponsorships) through management involvement. 1 unit out of 10
Negative results – “negative learning patterns“ Number of units
There is no medical office served by own staff; the personalised health surveillance and nutrition programs for legitimate athletes were not provided, by internal means. all 10 units
There are no job positions for counselling and guidance activities (and there are no qualified staff members for counselling and guidance activities); it should be mentioned that there are some units in which psychological counselling (psychological training) and orientation on sporting branches are carried out by teachers – coaches, without excluding the need for qualified staff. all 10 units
There are no job positions for auxiliary activities (secretary, informatician), necessary for the selection and promotion of sports students and useful to relieve teachers – coaches from bureaucratic duties. 8 units out of 10
The educational offer does not match the results obtained by the sporting branches (therefore continue to be financed branches for which there is interest, but which does not report any results – for example, football). 3 units out of 10
Allocated funding shows negative growth (decrease from year to year), while keeping the same number of staff; insufficient funding has led to parents’ financial intervention to take part in national and international competitions. 2 units out of 10, respectively 5 units out of 10
Legal consortia are not being implemented, particularly on infrastructure sharing (sports infrastructure, information and documentation centre etc.), so there are some confusions arising from the common use, without a legal basis, of the same premises by school sports clubs and sports clubs. 2 units out of 10
