The volume contains selected, peer-reviewed papers from the International Conference Education Environment for the Information Age (EEIA 2019), 04-05 June, 2019, Institute for Strategy of Education Development of the Russian Academy of Education, Moscow, Russia.

The conference was opened by Svetlana Veniaminovna Ivanova, Director of the Institute for Education Development Strategy of the Russian Academy of Education, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Head of the UNESCO Chair in Global Education. During the conference, a video bridge was held with a colleague from the Open University of Athens (Greece). Ioannis Vandoulakis, Professor at the Department of History and Philosophy of Science Studies in European Civilization, shared the results of his interdisciplinary research in the field of mathematical proof. The presentation of the Anthology on the History of Foreign Pedagogics was received with lively interest by the participants of the conference.


Volume 1 "Anthology of the pedagogical heritage of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome", volume 2 "Anthology of the pedagogical heritage of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance ", presented by V.K. Pichugina , Leading Researcher of the Laboratory of the History of Pedagogy and Education of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution "Institute for the Development of Education in the Russian Academy of Education", Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Professor of the Russian Academy of Education as well as the speech of the Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Researcher of the Laboratory of Literature and Theater of the Institute of Art Education and Cultural Studies of the Russian Academy of Education E.A. Semenova , who touched upon the problems of communication in the digital age on the example of the form of " remote carnival " on the Internet.

The problem of a culturological approach to environmental education, primarily understood as taking into account national values ​​and ethnic traditions in the relationship between man and nature, was reflected in the speech of representatives from the Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumilyova (Kazakhstan). Presented by Candidate of Economic Sciences, Head of the Laboratory for Comprehensive Analysis and Forecasting of the Institute for Education Development Strategy K.V. Lebedevthe work is devoted to the problem of the validity of the forecast data of the need for pedagogical workers in the sphere of general education in Russia. The relaxed atmosphere of the conference allowed the participants to discuss a wide range of issues of modern education that meets the trends of the time, touching on the problems of the formation of information and educational space, the formation of meta-subject skills, the influence of mentality on the learning process, communication problems in the digital age, responding to important changes taking place in the life of a modern school.
