Bridging Bloom’s Taxonomy And Artificial Intelligence Adoption For Improved Teaching And Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Bloom's taxonomy refers to a teaching framework that contains six main levels. These six levels can be used for the purpose of structuring teaching, learning, and assessment outcomes. Since education is now closely related to technological developments, the implementation of artificial intelligence in education needs to be paid attention to. Therefore, this paper proposes improvements to Bloom's taxonomy that will take into account the demand and adoption of AI applications. The research method was through literature analysis of previous studies through several main databases. This study adopted a qualitative research design, specifically utilizing a systematic literature analysis approach by exploring, synthesizing, and critically analyzing existing scholarly works on Bloom’s Taxonomy, educational technology, artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching and learning, and the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) framework from leading academic databases including Scopus, Web of Science, IEEE Xplore, SpringerLink, and Google Scholar. These databases were chosen because they index a broad range of peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and high-impact publications related to education, pedagogy, and AI technologies. This was done to justify the integration of AI that uses Technology Readiness Level (TRL) as a foundation in Bloom’s Taxonomy to improve the quality of teaching and learning today. The results of this study found that the statements contained in Bloom's have been improved. This addition refers to how learning objectives can be achieved through control of the level of education, as well as AI-based student achievement.
