Coordinated Logistics To Boost Humanitarian Performance And Response
Abstract
This research aims to analyze the role of logistics coordination in enhancing individual performance within humanitarian logistics. As humanitarian organizations face increasing challenges in efficiently delivering aid during crises, understanding the factors that contribute to effective operations becomes paramount. The primary aim of this research is to explore how logistics coordination influences individual performance and overall humanitarian outcomes. The sampling technique that was conducted in stratified sampling. This technique is chosen because it is involving the division of a population into a smaller organization in Malaysia to collect research data, and PLS-SEM analysis was conducted to validate the conceptual model. For this study, 2,000 paper questionnaires were distributed nationwide through various humanitarian organization offices. Of these, 593 returned questionnaires were deemed reliable for analysis. The findings reveal that robust logistics systems significantly enhance individual performance by ensuring timely access to resources, improving communication among team members, and fostering a culture of trust and collaboration. Moreover, the research highlights that organizations with well-integrated logistics strategies are better equipped to respond to emergencies, leading to improved service delivery and recipient satisfaction. The implications of this research are profound, suggesting that humanitarian organizations should prioritize logistics as a foundational element of their operational strategies. By investing in logistics training and systems integration, organizations can improve not only their responsiveness but also the overall effectiveness of their humanitarian missions. Future research should examine the impact of emerging technologies on logistics coordination and individual performance, further enriching the theoretical framework and providing actionable insights for practitioners in the field.
