Abstract
Despite a high receptivity to a volatile business environment to maintain competitiveness, frequent organisational changes have led to higher uncertainty, associated with increased employee resistance. Organisations can mitigate employee resistance by inducing a change readiness mindset that is significant for successful organisational change. Therefore, this study examines the link between talent development, dialogic communication, and change readiness. Using a sample of employees in the Malaysian civil service, hypothesis testing is done using the bootstrapping technique in SmartPLS software. The results revealed that talent development is positively significant to change readiness, while dialogic communication is not a predictor of change readiness. This study’s outcome has shed light on managing organisational change and fostering a change-ready state of mind through organisational investment in human resources.
