Abstract
Purpose: based on the analysis of the monitoring studies of existing water facilities within the basin geosystem of the Upper Kuban and the reclamation systems of the Stavropol Territory to give scientific credence to the foundations of the methodology and methods for assessing the impact on natural environments (EIA) in the zones of influence of “Water Facilities” in the form of complex of hydraulic structures used for the generation of electric energy at the hydroelectric power plants – HPP, and reclamation irrigation systems. Materials and methods. The basis of the study was the data of engineering and environmental surveys and the results of system complex monitoring studies (SCMS). The general methods and techniques were used for SCMS, processing of the obtained results, their analysis and generalization. Results and discussion. A set of environmental protection measures and forecast of changes in the state of the natural environment are recommended based on the SCMS results in the zones of influence of the technogenic complex of hydraulic structures, as the “Object of Activity” as part of the NE-OA-P; types, nature and degree of impact of the OA on the spatial limits of the basin geosystem of the Upper Kuban, probability of emergency situations and their possible consequences.
