Derivational Neologisms In The Russian Internet-Space

The article deals with new phenomena in derivational processes of building neologisms presented in the texts of modern electronic media: usage of «coronavirus» vocabulary as a derivative base, activization of word-building formants of a foreign character and word-building models of agglutinative type as a manifestation of a trend towards internationalization. Neologisms in modern electronic mass media created on the basis of key words of the socio-cultural space (коронавирус, ковид (COVID-19), эпидемия, пандемия, вирус, карантин, прививка, вакцина, маска, интернет, онлайн) and with the help of key formants (axiological prefixes супер-, мега-, prefix псевдо- with the semantics of falsity, prefix экс- with the seme ‘former’, time prefixes до-, пост-, prefixes анти-, без-, не-, противо- with the semantics of negation, suffixes with the object semantics and immaturity) and models (models of derivatives created by univerbation with the suffix -к(а), models of compound words of agglutinative types) of the derivational space are becoming an implicit means of the author`s worldview and the author’s assessment of the current social realia.
