Hearing Orientation, learning, communication, entertainment, relaxation. People’s voices, listening to the radio, more sounds together – traffic orientation. Hearing is used less than residual vision.
Touch Writing on the computer, playing on the keyboard, orientation, automatic tactile activities. Identification of materials – fabric, foil. Cannot read the Braille at the moment.
Smell Smell in a shop, for example a bakery. Smoke – smelling smoke can be a warning. Fragrance, odours, perfumes – identification of people. Very good smell.
Taste Identification of food. Food, types of wines. Less developed sense, sometimes cannot identified saltier food, only oversalted food.
Vision Residual vision (orientation, learning, entertainment). Residual vision (study, work, leisure).
