The volume contains selected, peer-reviewed papers from the International Scientific Conference “PERISHABLE AND ETERNAL: mythologies and social technologies of digital civilization-2021” (PERAET 2021), 22-23 November, 2021, Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University, Russian Federation.

The conference focuses on the digital revolution that is taking place today is turning into a decisive factor in the transformation of modern civilization, forming new models of identity and principles of social communication. The change of traditional mythosymbolic scenarios of the justification of the mission of a person, society and culture generates a specific, digital format for their visualization and interpretation. These trends urgently require a comprehensive humanitarian understanding, expertise and further management support of the processes of digitalization of the socio-cultural space, the introduction and popularization of cultural and anthropological models of the development and development of digital technologies.

197 full papers were subjected to a double-blind review process and 115 full papers were accepted for publication. Conference focuses on origins, current state and prospects of digital civilization, as well as related anthropological expectations and scenarios of their mythologization in the context of global problems and challenges of the time. The sessions of the conference as follows: Image, word, number: language and literature in the context of digitalization, language and cross-cultural communication: from traditional to digital contexts, mythologies of the digital world: social, cultural, and political aspects, geopolitics in modern media mythologies, digital pedagogy as a social technology, Culture and art in the mazes of digital mythologies, digitalization as a factor of transformation of identity models.
